I began running in 2016 as a way to get into shape physically and emotionally. As a working mom and wife, I knew I needed to get active to be the best version of me for my family. I began with a Couch to 5K on my treadmill and lost over 80 pounds, but the bigger gift was that I discovered the joy of running. That was made even bigger by the enthusiasm and energy of races! It is so inspiring to see all different levels out there with everyone encouraging each other! I love setting goals and running races have helped me achieve many: including countless 5K and 10Ks, 19 half marathons, three full marathons, and a big goal of a 50K in 2019! Beyond running, I love adventures with my husband and two kids, am an avid crafter, love reading, and am a huge coffee nerd! As an extroverted runner, I love the energy of making new friends and finding other people that are part of the running community that are equally passionate about the fun and enthusiasm each race brings. So if you see me at a race, (I’m usually the one running with a huge, goofy, smile on my face) come introduce yourself, I love hearing everyone’s story!
